It has come to our attention that our users have been experiencing an increased number of issues for a prolonged period of time. We would like to sincerely apologize to our users for the inconvenience caused.
Our team is putting together a plan of action to prevent similar issues from reoccurring and making changes to our workflow in order to improve our ability to prevent potential issues.
An outline of issues along with their causes and solutions can be found below.
■ Outline of Recent Issues
① KING's Privilege subscribers being unable to benefit from tripled drop rates of Collection Event Items during the Days of Seven Limited Event
Cause:
Regular drops from Story Quests are doubled for KING's Privilege subscribers. This increased drop rate does not apply to other Items such as Collection Event Items. However, if an increased drop rate event is running simultaneously, the drop rates for the event are supposed to take priority. As the KING's Privilege drop rates were applied, this resulted in an in-game issue.
Solution:
If several events or campaigns are going to be held simultaneously, our workflow will incorporate an additional check phase. Once this check is complete, the content will be checked against a more thorough checklist.
② Unlocked Channeling Points reverting back to being locked under specific conditions
Cause:
This issue occurred as a result of a fix that reduced the load size of the Channeling Points feature. Although the areas directly affected by the fixes were checked and confirmed to have no known issues, we were unable to detect that this update had affected other areas of in-game content.
Solution:
Checks will not be focused solely on areas directly affected by fixes. Our improved workflow will assess user playstyle patterns in order to pinpoint more areas of content to undergo checks. The number of staff appointed to checks will be increased to prevent similar issues from reoccurring.
③ Collection Event Items being removed from the game before the end of the exchange period
Cause:
An error in event runtime settings causing the date and time for Item removal to be set incorrectly.
Solution:
Once operational tests are completed, content will be cross-referenced against the content checklist and the event data. We will endeavor to thoroughly double-check these areas to minimize potential mistakes or errors that could give rise to these issues again.
④ KING's Privilege subscription not automatically renewing
Cause:
This issue occurred when data transmission from the user's store failed and the app was unable to automatically renew the subscription as a result.
Solution:
As a precautionary measure to protect against the failure of data transmission, our game system currently collects data from the store once daily. This system will be improved by increasing the frequency of data transmissions to once per hour.
■ Regarding issues and countermeasures
The patterns of occurring issues in Fist of the North Star: LEGENDS ReVIVE are as outlined below.

1. Issues that occur upon implementing new features
Solution:
The number of staff involved in the process of implementing features will be adjusted in order to improve the quality of features upon implementation.
2. Specific patterns of usage not being accounted for after new features are implemented
Solution:
Game planners and programmers will have increased opportunities to check both new features that are due to be implemented, as well as a wider area of game content that could be affected by them. A wider scope of possible usage patterns will also be taken into consideration prior to new feature implementation.
3. Increased complexity of the effects of skills upon new Fighters being implemented
Solution:
Improvements will be made to battle simulation software as well as the check system. Furthermore, the number of staff involved in checking battle-related content will be increased.
4. Fixes to existing features that affect other areas of the game
Solution:
The check process will cover more than just the areas of content that are directly affected by fixes and basic functions of affected features. Features will be double-checked against their initial implementation checklists in order to prevent issues from occurring. Furthermore, the number of times these features will undergo checks will also be increased.
5. Oversights in event planning materials
Solution:
As a large amount of documentation is involved in the creation of in-game content, documentation for event planning will be compiled or simplified to reduce the risk of oversights or mistakes occurring. It has come to our attention that the check criteria of our planning documentation may, in cases, be insufficient and/or lack certain necessary details. We will endeavor to improve the quality of our checklists in order to better detect any potential issues.
Our team aims to improve not only the aforementioned issues, but also the team itself by refining our system of work in order to reduce the number of issues that our users encounter in-game.
