■ Mang Kuang-Yun

Practitioner of Hokuto Sonkaken, one of the three branches of Hokuto Shinken, and also known as "Ling Wang" (Spirit King). He uses the Hikou Heni (Channeling Point Displacement) technique, having used opium to the point of destroying his own body to master it. Obsessed with surpassing the original Hokuto Shinken, he challenges Kenshiro Kasumi.

 

Upon entering battle, Mang Kuang-Yun's Max HP and Defense Power are increased and he gains a Shield based on a percentage of his Max HP, making him highly resilient, while his HP is recovered by both his Special Technique and when receiving damage, making him a good defensive Fighter.

Also, his Secret Technique inflicts Hiraiko on its target, resulting in additional damage being dealt to the target if their Status Effects are removed!

*Hiraiko (While inflicted, if the target's Status Effects are removed, inflicts additional damage equal to 50% of the target's Max HP and is then removed. Lasts 2 turns.)

 

His Secret Technique damages an enemy and increases Mang Kuang-Yun's Attack Power, Damage Increase, Secret Tech. Dmg Increase and Special Tech. Dmg Increase for 1 turn. The lower his current HP, the greater the increase (Max 40%).

Additionally, reduces the target's Crit. Dmg Reduction by 20% for 1 turn and deals additional damage equal to 300% of Mang Kuang-Yun's Defense Power!

With his ability to inflict Hiraiko, when used as the vanguard of the Party he can withstand enemy attacks, becoming stronger the more HP he loses, and deal damage both with his powerful Secret Technique and via additional damage!

If his Secret Technique is upgraded, it increases his Attack Power by an amount equal to 200% of his Defense Power, allowing him to deal even greater damage!

 

Mang Kuang-Yun's Special Technique damages an enemy (Guard and Skill Guard are ineffective against this attack) and deals additional damage to the target equal to 100% of his Defense Power.

Recovers his own HP by an amount equal to 200% of damage dealt to the target (including additional damage)!

It also inflicts Chi Jam (Reduces the amount of Chi recovered by 50%. This Chi is received by the Fighter inflicting Chi Jam. The received Chi is not affected by Chi recovery increase/decrease. Lasts 2 turns) on the target!

In addition to being a powerful attack, it also partially recovers his HP and drains the target's Chi!

 

His Passive Skill "Mad Dog", which unlocks at the fourth of his Seven Stars, increases his own Max HP during battle, increase his Defense Power by 80% and his Attack Power, Damage Increase and Damage Reduction by 30%.

It also nullifies Stun, Seal, Silence, Gekishinko, Bloodletting Strike and Chi Reduction on him, allowing him to shrug off enemy debuffs while letting loose his own Secret Technique!

Also, at the beginning of his turn he gains a Shield equal to 50% of his Max HP (up to four times per battle).

If his current HP is 50% or less, gains a Shield equal to 100% of his Max HP. Also increases his Defense Power and Additional Damage Reduction by 30%!

Additionally, the ally Fighter with the highest Attack Power (not incl. himself) gains a Shield equal to 60% of Mang Kuang-Yun's Max HP (once per battle), making him adept at protecting important ally Fighters on the field!

From his 2nd turn onwards, at the beginning of his turn, increases his Attack Power and Damage Increase by 5% (Max 30%) and his Defense Power and Critical Rate by 10% (Max 60%), but reduces his Max HP by 10% (Max 60%).

This means his Special and Secret Techniques can deal even more damage during the latter part of battle!

On top of this, he recovers 10% of his Max HP when he receives damage, not including damage received at the beginning of a turn or from Damage Reflection (up to three times per turn), so even if his Max HP drops, the ability to recover his own HP gives him high endurance!

 

Mang Kuang-Yun is a Fighter whose high HP and Defense Power, coupled with his gradually increasing Attack Power, make him formidable on both offense and defense!
